Join a group of dynamic writers. Share. Learn. Grow. And tell your story!
|“You are one of the biggest reasons I am writing. You have no idea how grateful I am to you for that.” A.M.|
“Joanell’s writing skills, intelligence and constructive analysis with spot-on critiques, made her an excellent collaborator. I was fortunate to have her as a writing partner.” — Gina Kutchins.
Come join an intimate writers’ workshop to work on personal transformation and writing from the personal experience (essay, blog, memoir, one person show, etc). We’ll be using techniques normally taught in my classes and workshops, but this time on Zoom in response the pandemic.
Writers of all experiences, genders, cultures and countries are welcome.
We’ll work as a group to “process on paper.” This is a great option to channel your creativity and stay on track, sharing your personal stories of the epidemic or other past experiences. Each group will be limited to 10 participants.
Groups Are TUESDAYS 4-6 PM Pacific Time.
To Register: Email or Message me, make payment through Paypal (Joanells@Comcast.net) or Venmo.
It will be very affordable ($25 for a 2 hour class, $65 for three).
You do not need to be an experienced writer to join, although you may be grouped to some degree by experience.
You do not need to share your work, but there will be opportunities to do so. You can get a lot out of it without sharing your work.
You will not have “home work” you need to do; you will be offered writing prompts and reading resources however that will enrich your experience.
Those of you who don’t know me well: Spirituality slips into all my classes, as do a few four letter words. (It’s inherited!) Writers of all levels love the workshops, but you do need to show up with an open mind. This is not Creative Writing 101, or How to get an MFA in 2 weeks. This is about opening up, digging deep, spilling your truth on paper, sifting a bit, and finding the gold nuggets to share. We occasionally cry. We laugh a lot too.
